SAMSUNG
MILAN DESIGN WEEK

FLOWS: A JOURNEY TO THE FUTURE. The centre-piece for Samsung’s 2014 exhibition at Milan Design Week, celebrating the company’s enduring dedication to design and innovation.

A 20 metre long sculpture, comprised of everyday household products, disassembled and brought to life by suspending individual elements as if petrified in a long dynamic flowing motion. The though was simple, celebrate the hidden design that goes into creating the products we take for granted. From the humble washing machine through to Samsung's next generation of products and beyond into that could be.

The installation guided people from the physical to the digital space, transforming components into a particle stream that flowed across numerous LCD displays. The space was brought to life through ambient sound and light creating a sense of continuation.

Towards the end of the journey, visitors were able to play with the particle stream, as if playing with free running sand, visitors interacted to reveal glimpses of Samsung’s brand philosophy, a metaphor showing how we now influence and help shape our relationship with the products of the future of smart home living.
